WORK LOCATION: Please note that this position offers a generous relocation package to our Sargent & Lundy office locations in either Albuquerque or Los Alamos. You must be willing and able to relocate to one of these cities. Generous relocation assistance is provided.

This is a mid-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Civil Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.

  • Lead civil design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
  • Produce design drawings, civil analysis and calculations, procurement specifications and construction specifications (civil sections)
  • Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns
  • Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.

Essential skills and experience:
  • BSCE from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
  • PE License, or ability to obtain one (preference for having a PE license)
  • Specific experience in drainage, grading/site preparation, stormwater prevention planning and retention, geotechnical characterization, and foundation design
  • Five or more years of working in a project team environment in the design of industrial design projects or power plant experience
  • Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
  • Experience working with and/or at Department of Energy sites and facilities
  • Experience in preparing design drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and construction, fabrication and procurement specifications
  • Requires periodic travel to Albuquerque and project locations for client meetings, walk-downs and presentations; amount of travel will vary depending on individual projects, but will likely averages of 3-5 days per month

$101,000 - $120,000
