Akkodis is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise to join our growing IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of critical network infrastructure projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.

Pay/Salary Range : $80-100K
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, with a primary focus on Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and other Fortinet products.
• Manage and optimize network security using Fortinet solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues related to Fortinet devices, including firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiAuthenticator.
• Configure and deploy FortiGate firewalls and VPN solutions to support secure remote access and site-to-site connections.
• Conduct regular network assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks, recommending solutions for improvement.
• Collaborate with other IT teams (systems, security, and application teams) to ensure network architecture aligns with organizational goals and projects.
• Provide network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimize traffic flow for improved performance and reliability.
• Mentor and train junior network engineers on best practices, new technologies, and problem-solving techniques.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives by ensuring network resilience and redundancy.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a strong emphasis on Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, VPN, etc.) and network security best practices.
• Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE 4, NSE 5, or NSE 7) are strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in the configuration, troubleshooting, and management of firewalls and security appliances.
• Strong expertise in implementing and managing site-to-site VPNs, SSL VPNs, and remote access VPN solutions using FortiGate firewalls.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and practices (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Bash) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of SD-WAN, network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other advanced security features.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.) and integration with Fortinet products.
• Familiarity with additional network security technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point).
• Experience with network load balancers, QoS, and traffic shaping.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and network lifecycle management.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
